Government Funding - Essentials and Extras

Early Years Government Funding is intended to cover the delivery of childcare only. This includes all basic learning materials, resources and equipment necessary to deliver the EYFS curriculum. It does not cover the cost of the following elements:

• Meals and Snacks
• Non-food consumables (nappies, wipes, tissues, sun cream)
• Extra curricular activities (Forest School, Dance, Sports sessions)
• Group outings/trips (farm visits)
• Additional hours outside of funded hours

To cover the costs not included in the Early Years Funding, we ask parents to contribute a non-mandatory Essentials and Extras Fee. Parents who choose to provide meals and snacks must ensure they follow the Nutrition Guidance from the Department for Education. The Nutrition Guidance can be found HERE
