This month the babies have been looking at autumn animals, squirrel and fox. They have enjoyed colouring autumn wreath, hedgehog and squirrel and they have been very creative this month making foxes and owl out of their junk modelling and identifying key features like eyes, nose, and feathers. They have enjoyed soft play, building towers, laughing with friends and practicing counting.
We have also been enjoying musical instruments, hearing different sounds and using their touch to create different sounds. They have enjoyed stacking rings to help with our hand–eye coordination, learning new words like big, small and colours of the rings.

         The bumblebee children have been looking at their sense of smell and touch and have explored the various textures (soft hard, rough, slimy)of different objects and were able to express what they feel. We have been able to express our preferences while smelling mint, pineapple, ginger and orange. They have enjoyed messy play with shaving foam as they explored different sea animals and they have learned the name of each animal (penguin, whale, polar bear) and have also been counting how many the animals are to support the development of our mathematics skills.

         This month the preschoolers have been our learning about on the sense of sound and we’ve explored sound by playing with various instruments like drums, tambourines, trumpets, maracas, castanets as well as making our own shakers using cardboard tubes. They decorated it by sticking tissue paper and filling it with dry broken spaghetti. This has helped them to learn turn taking, collaborate and express themselves through music. They have been looking at how they can be superheroes at home or at school by talking about their very own super power of being caring, kind, strong, nice, polite, funny, sharing and tidy. We’ve been creative and have enjoyed decorating our own superhero puppet stick using different arts and crafts materials. We have been number threading to learn our numbers as well as strengthening our fine motor muscle skills as we pick up and manipulate the numbers.

  <span>

          They have enjoyed jolly phonics this month as we focusing on phonic letters ‘p’ 'i' and 'n'.
